Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about WAFID registration, medical checkups, visa rules, and report validity in Pakistan.

WAFID & GAMCA Booking

WAFID is the newly rebranded official online platform launched by the Gulf Health Council. It completely replaces the old GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association) system. All workers traveling to GCC countries must register on WAFID to get their medical referral checkups.
You can register online through our booking wizard. Simply provide your passport details, email, contact, destination country, and preferred city. We will handle the database entry and issue your official slip.
No. The WAFID system automatically allocates centers to prevent bias and tampering. Once a slip is generated, the assigned clinic cannot be changed under any circumstances. You must visit the assigned clinic or wait for the slip to expire (60 days) to book again.

Medical Requirements & Reports

The test consists of physical examinations (height, weight, vision, blood pressure), blood tests (for HIV, Syphilis, Malaria, Hepatitis B and C), urine tests, and a chest X-ray to check for tuberculosis or other lung issues.
Typically, clinics upload the report status (FIT or UNFIT) to the WAFID database within 24 to 48 hours of completing your tests. You can verify it online using your passport number.
If declared UNFIT, you cannot travel to the GCC countries. The WAFID portal will block your passport. You must wait a minimum of 3 to 6 months to recover and apply for a re-examination, depending on the reason for failure.

Fees & Refund Policies

Yes, booking the WAFID appointment slip requires a processing fee. This fee is separate from the checkup fee that you pay directly in cash at the assigned medical clinic.
Once a WAFID slip is generated, it cannot be deleted or refunded because the fee is processed by the Gulf Health database immediately. Please double-check your passport number and details before submitting.
